  New WT on "Hate" is actually a little bit based

  the new public wt on hate, especially racial hate just came out and seeing as how left-leaning the org is in regards to so many non-sexual things (like mandates and lockdowns, guns, war, patriotism, freedom of thought and speech, climate change, etc.

  ) i was fully expecting the magazine to lean into the media lies of black victimhood, etc.

  however was pleasantly surprised to see a few valid thoughts, such as this opening image of everything seemingly being blamed on the white man.. .

  in a recent post ffghost made a comment about how they're always inserting modern concepts into biblical narratives to make it relatable to jw's organization.

  here are some that come to mind:.

  - the capitalized term "governing body" when referring to the older men in jerusalem (really just another group of christians that paul outspokenly disagreed with and didn't look to for approval).

  The commander is putting even worse sanctions on the last vestiges of free world in the USA.

  "They" say it will not come to war. Dont bet on it. Put 120000 ruthless troops up against 8500 trans genders, queers, horny men and women in the same unit, then make rules of engagement. what could go wrong?

  i had an aunt that had rheumatic fever as a child and only had an iq the high 70's.

  but, absolutely no one was able to bs her on an emotional level.

  she had an uncanny ability to see through people's bs.

  IQ is partially a construct of society too. Measuring the ability to know needed things. I read that whites could judge right angles better than aboriginals, but the aboriginal could judge acute/ obtuse angles better--different worlds.

  There is a msuse of intellect and ignorance too. Ancient peoples did not blunder into things, they thought things through despite the story that any innovation was accidental. From making fire with a flint to chimney smoke to knots. They may not have known the formulae but they did observe and engineer.

  I like antique machinery and hear the "how did they build this without a computer? " comment. It is the other way round, " how did they get the data in the first place?"

  i see is that the vast majority of jws don't seem to understand what their religion actually teaches.. the more controversial or embarrassing doctrine - although still official doctrine that has never been rescinded - is just not talked about anymore in the magazines.

  this question is for pimo, did your zoom meetings have a new schedule starting on january 1?

  It was actually reasonable. The vote was to change from a noon zoom to 10am. A no brainer. The shared hall (4 total) arrangement requires rotation for fairness.

  The conundrum is how a little baptist church with 50 members can afford their own building while jw's share a building, then some have to drive a half hour or more in city traffic. During a remodel they assigned a hall one and a half hours away, impossible to do.

  Same. last year we were warned the morning sunday would revert to the hall schedule rotation if covid ended. Our coming turn was for late afternoon.

  We hide behind family business. It is my business to see my son physically and mentally well, fed, sheltered, has transportation and the means to work on it, and an addressed to use if needed. It is also my business to see that his siblings, mother, grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunts know of his welfare and vice versa.

  I do not shun anyone DF, though it may curtail association. As long as they are not a danger. Whether they reenter or not is their choice. I do have to be careful to not encourage staying out lest it bite me.

  We do see people who would not pee on a DF person if he was on fire. I am not that type, known for strong sympathy and kindness which I pride myself on and work at it

  I have never seen anyone DF for associating. Marked yes.

  Obviously I am not a good witness though. I'm on here and human
